You are offered 5 million but you need to survive a year in Katmai national park, will you accept?

Yes. I'd do it.
Step1:
Use knife to cut branches into the shape of a handle. Affix a sharp rock to the handle with vines. Sharpen rock on other rocks until you have an axe.
Step2:
Use axe and knife to carve a shovel from trees in vicinity. And then immediately begin digging a moat around yourself. Dont eat or sleep until the moat is complete. Use knife to sharpen many twigs and dig them into the bottom of the moat pointing upward.

Put feeble , but long twigs in the gap between your end of the moat and the animal side. Make it resemble a bridge. Disguise the twigs with foliage. Finally try to look as delicious as possible while sitting in the center of the moat.
And now sit and wait for predators to become prey. Easy peasy

The hardest part of being off the grid without anything is staying dry and warm, since that will do you in when you least expect it, especially through the night. Your body trying to stay warm as you're sleeping will fukk you up if you do it wrong and it can be easy to die if not come close to death. Also, bears are always on some other shyt in general.

Are any of the animals there endangered ? What kind of clothes do I get? What season is it?
Just hang out along brooks river by brooks falls and you can catch endless salmon with grizzle bears swimming upstream… Brooks lodge is nearby….

Only worth it for a true survival expert and most would struggle tbh.
You gotta know how to identify edible vs toxic plants, build shelter, find reliable sources of protein/water etc.
A person could luck out for a week...maybe a month but 12 months? You gotta be on that Les Stroud life to get by.

For $5million - HELL NO.
For me to do it: the money has to be some type of generational money, upward of $50million.
This is an extreme case where you will have shed everything you're used to & tap into your animalistic caveman instinct to survive. You'd have to dig deep & find the extreme survival instinct & adaptability. And the experience might fukk up mentally forever.
And in the current clime & the tangent the world is heading - $5million isn't that much money for that.
