no it's because either A. segregation or racism kept black people away from certain things (why the stereotype of black people can't swim came from) or they just don't want to be around white people while doing those activities (because of racism and prejudice)

The concept of "white folks stuff" is a real thing but it's just that.......a concept made up by small minded people.
Now if you're that much of a follower/ sheep to actually live your own life by abiding to these made up rules then have fun living in your bubble. It must really suck to constantly be worried about what other people think.

Nothing wrong with enjoying nature and the outdoors as long as you respect it.
I enjoy hiking, but there are certain things I won't be doing if I go out to do it
Going off the beaten path into backwood areas, going hiking without the correct items on me, wearing inappropriate clothes or shoes, going on difficult hikes by myself, not taking the daily advice of the park staff seriously.
A lot of it is common sense

Well that line of thinking is (or was) out there. I grew up in a city (a small one but a city nonetheless) and the thought of hiking and camping was seen as something that white folks did amongst my peer group. Fishing was about as outdoorsy as it got for black folks in my mind but I did view it as "country" activities. When we moved to the country that was when I saw more black folks hunting and doing stuff that I grew up to perceive as white people activities.
Of course it was. This is normal.
