I'm sitting here. Wednesday night. And instead of a new South Park, they're showing an hour and half old episode about the PS4 vs XBOX feud that happened years ago.

I'm sitting here watching it, and it's pretty obvious that it's a satire on Democrats vs. Republicans

All the kids are assembled in a backyard discussing having to move forward with a "new system" and Stan reveals himself to be a PS4 supporter to Kyle, saying he always supported the PS4 but Kyle never listened. Quite obviously an analogy serving as Kyle being a liberal, and Stan being a republican. Where Stan reveals he's a republican to Kyle, Kyle's left shook. Like "Damn, I thought we were all about that liberal life" :damn:

Stan just tried to recruit the goth kids, who serve as an analogy for an apathetic/uneducated young voting demo. The goths said they were just gonna wait for PS4s to get cheaper than go battle for Black Friday. Stan explains how if they wait their brand will just get old like Betamax/VHS. Analogous to old Socialist parties becoming defunct.

"Xbox is a dying breed"
"So we're just going to let other kids choose which system we play on"

Trey and Matt were like "Man, what can we say in this Post-Trump life that we didn't already say. Let's just let this shyt ride"

This thing is an hour and a half long, they wouldn't have made it without a reason. And I'm obviously an idiot for not catching the satire in the first place, but also the political environment wasn't as dire then as it feels now -- to me anyways, and again, I'm a moron who can't pick up on basic satire in an hour and a half long satirical show who became famous for satirizing republicans vs democrats. Honestly their most obvious episode and I can't even pick up on it, like what more can I ask for, them to just blatantly say "Democrat" and "Republican" :snoop: I'm an idiot, and deserve an idiot as president :snoop: :snoop: :snoop: I'm so sorry, everyone. I let the goddamn world down. Episode even satirizes people who don't "Get it" when an old security guard chastises Randy who's new on the job and thinks it's all just a game.

you're late breh. they have been on that satirical shyt for ages now. it stopped just being fat jokes though its still that on the surface.

Nah of course not, this episode just went over my head at the time because the stakes weren't as high

Obviously Comedy Central felt that way too, that's why they let an hour and a half re-run play.

Basically the formula since early 2000's has been satire, spoof/parody a politcal/social/current event/issue into the world of South Park. I haven't ever really watched much, but I've seen maybe 15 episodes of the years, often scathing and biting satire and commentary at everything from politics to celebrities to corporations like Wal Mart.

Jesus,
Every single poster mentioned how it's been that way for years.

I don't know if you're all trolling or if you didn't read where I said I know South Park's all satire, democrats/republicans, that's what it started on.

I'm just saying that for this one episode, I didn't have the attention span for 90 minutes of ps4 vs XBOX shyt. But because Trump got elected and was expecting a new episode, I was primed to sit through it this time. I even think Comedy Central felt this episode was more relevant now than it was then, which is why they aired a ninety minute episode the night when it's usually new south park.

my post is still :trash: , I was on shrooms, but I definitely knew South Park was satire :mjlol:
