it's sad that rappers are still buying jewelry worth 10 of thousands in 2019.

Buy multi family homes, create a portfolio and grow from there.
That’s becuz a lot of rappers have no financial literacy in the beginning at least. I can only imagine being in my late teens early 20s and getting more money than I ever thought I’d see. I’d blow it on stupid shyt too. Once you gain knowledge you might move smarter but it might be too late by then

A lot of them never had money to begin with. They don’t go from rich to broke.

They go from broke to in debt.
That’s what a lot of people don’t understand. You can’t come from a place where theyre broke and everybody else around them is broke and expect them to make sound financial decisions. Especially when they’re young. Young folks think that money train gonna last forever anyway. So I can understand why they wild out. Not saying it’s right. But whose telling them not to?

It’s a double edge sword in the social media age. You are almost forced to put on this image of success so fans buy into the success and in turn pay to see and hear you. That’s why rappers be in rented cars, rented planes, big jewelry, flashing tons of cash. Makes young ignorant fans feel like “yo he’s doing it big!”. Then rappers go broke trying to keep up with that image and want to be humble when the fame dies.

we gotta stop crutching age to explain away stupidity.

people have never had more information about anything in any other era of humanity. all we got is information. people choosing to make the same mistakes are ignorant.

age has nothing to do with it. I wouldn't do that shyt at any age. the idea of teens and young adults having a license to be juvenile is a modern thing.

our grandfathers were functional family men at those ages. or fighting world wars at even younger still...
