I figured that out quick... when I had my own place I opted to buy my own modem rather than renting from Cox.

I always knew this. But I'm not a tech person like dat. I have no idea which one to look for. I don't want to buy something that is not compatible. Also if I have a old comcast modem. Can I used that or is it tracked by Comcast?

Rep for anyone that look out wit info

Had the same one for 7 years. Quit laughing at me.:sadbron:

LMAO, but real talk Comcast used to tell people when they signed up they had an option to buy a modem...in fact they encouraged it. Must've been a policy shift. Some consultant got paid 6-7 figures to tell them they'd make a killing if more people rented.
