People can clown Kurupt all they want but he will forever get props from me for being the only notable MC with household recognition I ever heard of that was willing to go on the Wakeup Show and battle callers live on-air freestyling off the top of the dome. And then followed it up by doing the same thing live on-air in person at the station.
Dude is a true MC, he'll always get my respect for that alone.
One of my friends/ex co-worker is basically like his adopted family from when he was going through shyt before he blew up on the West Coast out here in Philly. She would tell me some pretty funny ass stories about Kurupt and The Dogg Pound when he would bring them to her house. Said she got into a fight with Daz one time for smoking weed around her baby and cursed him out while Snoop was trying to play peacemaker but was too high to get involved.
Said Foxy had no style and was so happy when they broke up cuz she knew she wasn't right for him. Told me some story about her having to take her out clothes shopping in Philly cuz she had no outfits when she first came down there and had some shows and appearances to do but knew nothing about copping all that designer shyt she used to rap about.
