It's all about insulting your intelligence until it hits another level. Like walking out of a PPV or Raw altogether. That's the next level.

Vince has always had a really stupid, stubborn way of booking babyfaces since the 80s. THe Attitude era was an exception because he was having to defer to so many other people since WCW was whooping his ass. But WWE loves to make their top faces dikkheads who are nonetheless portrayed as virtuous heroes who are always in the right. Hogan didn't have a problem because WWF's audience was all kiddies and the smarky adults wanted nothing to do with them. But once the fanbase started getting older they turned on Hogan (peep all of them boos at the '92 Rumble) because all of his rampant jerkassery became more obvious to them.
Nowadays WWE tries to have its cake and eat it too because they want to dumb shyt down for kids but realize that the adults are the main demographic and the only people that stick around. But they HATE that reality.

It was ridiculous for Cena then and it is still ridiculous now. I love CeGOAT to pieces but breh badly needs a heel turn, then again so does Reigns. Maybe a modern day heel version of the Mega Powers? Who knows. Cause this shyt is getting ridic.
And I've been saying Roman won't turn heel since November and since then people still keep calling for it and predicting it, have people finally realized they're not turning him heel or gonna keep predicting it every PPV?
Reigns is gonna be a face (no heel turn) and the next face of WWE for the next 8-10 years, either that or WWE goes out of business. It is literally A or B, there is no C in this equation.
Here's my issue with it. Him wanting Roman to be the man is cool. That's his job as the promoter. But let it be organic. Let Roman put in work. Hold an IC title, hold a US title something. Put him in a meaningful one on one feud over a belt or not over a belt. There was no need to put the rocket on him when they did and they could've let it bubble organically. But as I'm typing this I'm noticing most of the guys who got the organic treatment weren't Vince's guys to begin with save for maybe the rock. But rock was of a different era (not the new era) and Vince had different people around him who could tell him he's wrong and they repackaged him.
I like Cena. But he's a strong part of the reason why wrestling/WWE popularity has shrunk so much. With 10 years of Reigns at the helm it's only gonna get less and less popular.

Reigns ain't Cena though. Cena's reactions are always legitimately 50/50. Reigns is more like 90 boo/10 cheer.
If the crowd rejects you like that, there is no look in the world that is gonna work. I don't know what you're seeing but Reigns looks embarrassing these days. Having good matches with skilled workers is nothing to hype up. If anything..he sold too much. They had this guy go toe to toe with Lesnar..now is he a monster or a comeback wrestler? There are all kind of issues with him. Superman comebacks at the end of the match with no SELLING in sight...wtfim happy with the booking right now

Because he's a huge reason why so many fans stopped watching. Almost every fan I know who stopped did so because they were tired of seeing his corny ass on tv overcoming the odds all the time and beating everyone clean all the time. I once heard someone describe him and his booking as "giving weight to the argument that wrestling fans are idiots" if you keep tuning in. Even the Star Wars prequels had more depth and character development than cena has shown since 2005.
