- getting started lifting is a lot easier than getting started with calisthenics

- progressive overlord in weights is easier than progressive overloading with body weight exercises(think pull ups or push ups with a weighted vest)

- a physique built from calisthenics stays around a lot longer than a physique built from weights

I’m doing the gym this year to prepare me for calisthenics next year
Basicallly

it’s literally plenty of examples of people who can do good on weights but can’t do one pull up or over 5

Yet I never seen anyone who can do a lot of pull but cant lift weights
