This too. Honestly you look at KO's work and he's probably won over everyone he needs to. Vince, Trips, Cena. I'm sure Steph and Shane are down for him as well, and having a legend like Jericho cosign you (straight up saying his run with KO is probably the best of his career, and when you consider who that breh has worked with...) is no small thing.

Tuesday probably sealed the deal, since Vince putting you over himself is a HUGE moment given how rare he's on TV these days. But I think you can even go back to the Festival of Friendship to see how high the company was on KO. Just like the New Day/Usos rap battle, there ain't too many cats they're gonna let run with a segment like that. Having Jericho helped, certainly, but KO more than upheld his end.

Even if you don't like KO, which anyone is entitled to, I feel like you gotta respect his hustle. He's made all the right moves and stepped up at all the right times.

Beating the shyt out of Sami for the title
Beating Cena in his first main roster match
Powerbombing MGK into the bushes
The whole storyline/feud with Jericho, while he was Universal Champion.
He's held 4 out of the 5 company's men's singles titles in a 3 year span
And now he's in a feud with Vince and Shane.

I've seen people in this thread say it, but this doesn't read like the resume of someone who the company thinks has a midcard ceiling.

It could just as easily be explained as a way to get ratings up (bringing Vince back) on a show with bad ratings, and building a Shane match. I doubt they see Owens as a Wrestlemania or even Summerslam main eventer.

We say that, but - unlikely as it could be - it honestly wouldn't surprise me if Shane has agreed to be thrown off it by Owens.

Shane is crazy enough to want to take the bump and he can talk Vince into letting him do things other talent can't.

Also - he's already done the jump - what else is there left to do?

Ironically he wrestles for a company where most of the cats work rate and moveset is basic to the point a couple of 8 years old cold replicate the matches on a weekly basis.... and that is praised over actual athletic guys every else who can perform high level action that will make you get out your seat.
