1994 in Altadena California. I’m riding with my cousin to the store and I’m wearing a North Carolina tarheels fitted hat that is baby blue with dark blue writing. I’m not from around there and didn’t know the lay of the land but there must have have been a Blood March or something because there were a large group of bloods walking down the street from the opposite direction. I’m 13 years old and have very little experience with West Coast gang banging so I think nothing of having that hat on my head as it was a favorite of mine. Little did I know that that was the wrong thing to be wearing around those parts. They kicked, punched and beat the car but kinfolk was able to drive off before anything serious happened. I immediately take the hat off and stuck to grays, blacks, khakis and whites for the duration of my stay.

That's a gang thing......unless you're in the hood and look like you gangbang you're not gonna have any issues for the most part.
