You ever have a moment where you just say "fukk it...I'm just gonna start rappin"?

I'm 29. I wouldn't get into rappin as a profession cause I'm too old and it's too risky, but I've always had those moments where I just say...fukk it I'm just gonna start rappin. I freestyle a little bit and and know how to write and got flows so I'm pretty confident in my abilities and I could produce too so whatever.

I just would do it for myself at this point. There are so many rappers out there that it's next to impossible to make money from it. But sometimes, especially from seeing some of these indie cats doing it here in NYC, I feel like I could spit some hot bars over some dope beats and do some shows for fun.

Naw, but in 8th grade me and my 2 of homeboys got real serious about starting a production group when we watched that The Neptunes Present... Clones like 5 times in a row and we went all out too . We came up with a name (The Standard) , we illegally downloaded Fruity-Loops, pro-tools and pooled are cash together and brought a used 2500. We made and sold some decent shyt to nikkas runnin' around town tryna be rappers, and 1 nikka even wrote songs...........then in 10th grade we just gave up

Sports, chess club, and bytches got in the way of our dreams...............

Yeah than I recorded a verse on my homeboys laptop in his closet and realized I sounded just like these generic soundin nikkas I make fun of and I respected the talent of these rappers a lot more....even the ones I don't like,to be able to have non generic sounding flows,a dope delivery and also to be blessed with a "different" voice that makes u sound different from everybody else...god had a plan for you to rap if u have em all.


I was sayin some real shyt tho and the flow wuz on point,don't u dare doubt that...if I ever meet a nikka with a unique voice who has a dope delivery we gon pull a milli vanilli and go straight to the top

Since I got the day off today, I was actually thinking about making a beat on MAschine and then writing some bars to it.

I wrote my first rap with my white neighbor when I was 8. I can't remember shyt in it but for some reason I remember a metaphor about the tv show Allen strange in it. We even had bars back then
We both liked rap but came from different worlds. When I was listening to Nas and Biggie, he was listening to Will Smith because it was the only rap cd his parents allowed him to have.
I still rap now but I just do it for fun. Don't really expect to make something out of myself. shyt is fun to just chill, get high and freestyle. Here's one I did with my nikkas. I come in at 1:04
