It's because the helmets cover their faces. Basketball players are mad exposed and marketed as individuals. Makes it easier to hate them.

part of the problem is ESPN having a monopoly on sports media, they are out here shaping the narrative and dictating the talking points.
and it's sad to say but this bullshyt aint gonna stop until the players themselves take a stand and say enough is enough....straight up refuse to play until this shyt is sorted out. it's a sticky situation because these dudes do got families to feed but I can't see things getting any better without some action on their part....a big reason why this happens is because nobody in power really respects these athletes as human beings.
