Typically if you move into a hood and you’re actually living there and you’re not part of the streets, usually they won’t bother you.

When I live in San Diego, I lived in a crip neighborhood, even dated a crip, and I was cool with most of them. They knew I didn’t bang. To them I was just a regular civilian.


HOWEVER


I also knew to be aware of my surroundings, and never hung out for long periods so I wouldn’t be perceived as being a crip.
