Never heard of Averse Sefira before, but this is really fukking good. The song you linked is better than anything on Blizzard Beasts. Gonna have to cop that Tetragrammatical Astygmata.

By the way, as someone who can actually play instruments and understand the music on a technical level, how much does it improve your appreciation of the genre? Like, I can identify very basic shyt like riffing, solos, drums, bass, pacing, distortion, etc. But once you get into different time signatures and guitar tones/chords, I'm fukking lost. It seems like you HAVE to play instruments before you can understand the genre on that level.
.
no c00ning but I went to get my dreads twisted by some Africans, and the whole time they were speaking African and randomly breaking out in fits of laughter and shyt, I don't know what they were saying but

I prefer to actually hear what i'm listening too...and its nothing like those sweet tidbits of jazz and the blues fused with metal
I'm selective but the shyt i do listen to I stand by hard. All my top faves are basically from Isis, Opeth and Tool

Baroness (Red album) and Neurosis (Through Silver in Blood) might creep into my top 20 before the years end. I wanna replace Leviathan with Mastodon's Remission on that list though. I've been on sludge/post metal hard lately.
