So yall thought Dallas was gonna win in 2011 and the Heat was gonna beat OKC last year?
What about in 2004 when the Pistons upset the Lakers? Who knew the Bulls were a championship caliber squad in 2011?

I love the NFL but the widespread mediocrity across the league is a joke, but yall like to call it parity....

The same teams with the best management\ownership have been running the NFL for the last ten years....

Colts, Ravens, Steelers, Pats, Eagles. Over the last 4-5 years you can add saints and packs to the list.

Its too early to tell if the Hawks or Falcons will stick, but I feel that the 49ers will contend for the next 3 years.

Bottom line is that the NFL has played musical chairs with pretty much the same teams for the last 8-10 years.

And 16 games is too many. Needs to go back down to 14. You got teams below 500 making the playoffs....

Because the Lakers being bad is the #1 story of the season.

You can't go 3 days without somebody talking about Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant not being friendly with each other, it's more of a soap opera than pro wrestling.

A personal squabble is the headline of the season.

That's the ESPN machine. Same thing with the Jets being the center of the NFL despite not winning anything.

Not really, while those 2 teams get attention the NFL was focused on the resurgence of Peyton Manning, the emergence of RG3, Luck and Wilson and who actually is going to be contending for the title.

NBA seems like a cruise control league where we're waiting on Heat vs. Thunder II and since nothing is interesting Dwight Howard and the Lakers become a weekly soap opera.

None of those stories were bigger then the jets mess.

Giants and Pats have won 5 of of the last 10 champion ships. Before that SF and Dallas won 4/10.


any league can achieve parity with a one game playoff. There was so many bad NFL games last year.

The NBA and MLB are extremely popular sports which has no reason to cut down on ticket revenue/tv reveenue/ jersey revenue just because you can't sit down and watch more than 3 games a week..

There are enough people like me who will pay the nba and mlb good money for league pass and the access to see 30 teams for 82 games and 30 teams for a 162 games, and as a result they will remain profitable..

the truth is you can't stand sports like the NBA and MLB where our African American and African Latino brothers showcase some of the greatest displays of Blackthleticism without having to risk permanent brain damage to entertain you

Naw breh it's not race at all. It's just NFL fanboyism... that's all. All this parity and we have weak ass teams winning the SB. Like that's cool.
