Vince is the real backer..having him kick out of all of Bryan's finishers and him beating Bryan with one spear while 5 finishers couldn't out Bryan down at the previous Mania. They insult audience in hilarious ways...like fans forgot 9 months of television that quick.

I find myself doubting that tbh. There was even dirtsheets saying Triple H was pushing for Roman vs Brock, while Vince was pushing for Rock vs Brock. I think HHH is the real backer, and people just make excuses bc of NXT

The last time Vince really listened to the audience was the Attitude Era. The whole thing with Daniel Bryan having his WM moment was because Vince's hand was forced, not because he was listening to the crowd, because if Vince had it his way, it would have been DC Dave vs Orton straight up in the main event.

Even the attitude era was Vince's hand being forced. If it wasn't for WCW and some other factors, it'd have been Mark Mero vs Brakkus maineventing PPVs instead of Austin and Rock. :manny:
