Depends on why they’re happy and content. Some people are happy and content because they haven’t given thought to what the future holds. They’re the types that lack the wisdom of prudence. Doesn’t mean they’re idiots. Just ill prepared.

if you’re concretely wise you can hang with anyone and remain unaffected by their malnourished opinions.

Being content with having just enough is not a good quality.

You always aim to do better, and have more.

This can be applied to anything in life. Drive and ambition are necessities.

Damn near all my partnas get real money. None of them necessarily consumed with the shyt though. Doing the same balling as shyt as everyone else but way more lowkey. Everybody just constantly trying to level up and the money gonna come with that, but not necessarily chasing money if that makes sense. Everybody share resources. That’s why everybody up

The folks i know that really getting money don’t be talking about it …you gotta really probe for info

It be the scammers always chasing the bag …either they might have 1 or 2 lucrative plays or constantly bouncing between hustles ……..either way they make their money by charging other people how to hustle that’s their real bag

This too,

My second roommate the youngest dude I know that makes REAL money, breh 25 and idk his pockets like that but I know for a fact breh has touched at least a M or 2 :wow:

His IG and Facebook is only pics of his wife, parents, and newborn.

But in real life breh got 3 different spots around the country he lives in, travels more than any of our other peers (including me :wow:) , casually goes on shopping trips where he spends at least 5k…

He made it all legit too but got a couple lucky breaks :mjcry:

nikka pre ordered a cybertruck too :wow:

What’s wrong with wanting a modest life? Not everybody wants to work half their life away, looking back later wishing they had more fun while they were still able to experience life. I’m not knocking hustlers and grinders, but some people cool with working 40 hours going home and planning their weekends/off days.

People who obsessed with money/fame, are boring to me. People who have actual passions and work to do them, are the more entertaining.

Facts breh nikkas don’t get it

There were MONTHS my mom made $75 TOTAL :wow:

If I max out at like 75k a year and find a nice woman making at least 50k and we settle somewhere nice with great work-life balance I would call my life a huge success :yeshrug:

I feel u my guy. Same here. I moved to a small town for those reasons. Just simple everyday life and knowing the majority of my community is dope to me.

Drive is great. But quality of life matters.

Once you make a certain amount, you start putting quality of life up there. The kind of shyt i would do for a check.... i wouldnt even consider now that i make alot more.

My bother in law who is doctor has gone part time basically. Both my lawyer sister in laws have left their firms to do less stressful work.

Im not trying to work 24/7. Yall can have that life

I guess OP means non-materialistic friends?

There's nothing wrong with wanting financial security, owning a house. a savings, retirement, tuition money for future kids, etc.

But being around dudes who are all about that flashy luxury lifestyle can not be good for you.

I know what you mean..

"Chasing a bag" is for people who have no clue on where their next dollar is coming from.

People who make money don't have to "chase a bag"..

A well-balanced man should have friends from differing stations, experiences, and circumstances. If you are the type of man that seeks out wisdom, something can be learned from any person.

And people have different gifts. As men, we forget that we need emotional support. When you’re going through trying times, your “secure the bag” friends may be preoccupied or emotionally unavailable whereas your ‘simple’ friends may provide the emotional support or the shoulder that you need.

One’s growth shouldn’t just be financially or professionally. It should be mental, physical, and spiritual as well. Having a different mix of friends can help your growth in different areas because they all come with different gifts.
