But you can't hide from the heat like you can the cold. Case in point, Humans haven't historically settled in desserts yet were are multiple Human settlements in subzero climates.Yes it is. I rather deal with the sweltering heat than snow on top of below zero temperatures.

I rather fall into some snow and not get out,
I hate the summer and this friggin heat. It's truly demonic.

I've lived in Phoenix and Chicago. I'd prefer Chicago. However, -15 is worse than 117. When I was walking in -15 to work from the train in Chicago, I was layered up, and it was so cold I felt like I was going to die. -15 isn't even anything to Russians either.
Anything over 110 is miserable though. I want to move back to CT or somewhere in the northeast. There are no super extremes like that.
This 2023 you can hide from the heat now. Fans, ac, pools etc. exist. But you can't hide from the heat like you can the cold. Case in point, Humans haven't historically settled in desserts yet were are multiple Human settlements in subzero climates.

Rest of the country is losing their minds but 110+ in July is business as usual for us.
I do wish this monsoon would hurry its ass up, though.
