Yes it is. I rather deal with the sweltering heat than snow on top of below zero temperatures.
But you can't hide from the heat like you can the cold. Case in point, Humans haven't historically settled in desserts yet were are multiple Human settlements in subzero climates.

I've lived in Phoenix and Chicago. I'd prefer Chicago. However, -15 is worse than 117. When I was walking in -15 to work from the train in Chicago, I was layered up, and it was so cold I felt like I was going to die. -15 isn't even anything to Russians either.

Anything over 110 is miserable though. I want to move back to CT or somewhere in the northeast. There are no super extremes like that.

People get tired of what they grew up with. If you from the cold and snow, you want sunshine.

If you're from the heat, you probably don't mind some cool weather.

I do like watching people's behavior in the weather:

Below 35 - no one's outside except stocky/big brehs and white boys.

36 to 65- beefy folks and hardcore runners that need to get the mileage in.

65 to 89 - Beach bodies that wanna show off plus everyone else

90 to 99 - ex athletes trying to re-live high school football 2-a-days and the most in-shape folks. Casual beach bodies are back inside. Black people ratio goes up.

100 and up - Black people waiting on the bus, crazy white boys

@Ciggavelli overall would you recommend moving to Arizona?

Y'all act like it snows all year. We got 1 snow storm this year and it was only about 5-6 inches. It was melted away in a day. I've been in places where there's been some tough winters but especially in the northeast it hasn't been like that the last couple years. Our weather lately been closer to what San Francisco is than what way up north or midwest has been.
