Let me preface this with yes, there are people that are constantly on the move and don’t have time to cook every day, you dumb fukks…

With that said, look at the title of the thread. No matter what city or state I’m in, 90% of the food workers are incompetent. It can be busy, it can be slow, short staffed or fully staffed; the order is going to be wrong in one way or another, or something as simple as napkins, utensils, and condiments will be missing and it happens on AT LEAST 7/10 orders.

At this point I feel like a degree is needed, an IQ test, or something for people to prove that they can use their brain well enough to correctly put together an order.

I can’t wait for automation to take over all these jobs…

You should be blaming the environment the fast food places set for poor service. Why does Chik fil A do so well with their service relative to places like McDonalds and Wendy’s? It isn’t necessarily because of education level.

Sure it's some lazy workers, but to imagine getting paid a shyt to decent wage dealing with selfish patrons is something I don't wish on anyone. I used to work in fast food while I was in college, a lot of it is management and weird protocols. Yeah, some people are incompetent, but when there's a rush and you see three people in the back doing nothing, that's usually because they were forced into a break on very weird timing and a lot of the shifts want to stand their ground for whatever reason.

The funniest thing is that when I did become a shift at that job, I basically ran it how I wanted and management hated me, but the customers and staff would always be hyped when I was there. What I'm trying to say is a lot of "shytty staff" is based on who is actually in charge of the shift at the time.

I buy a coffee only on specific days from the Starbucks near my office because the shift working at the time always has at least four people on floor, is always laughing and shyt with her staff and they get people out within a minute. She creates a good atmosphere, sometimes I just stay and shoot the shyt because I'm cool with that staff. On the days she's not there, they have a mix of different workers and they're usually backed up and it takes like ten minutes to get a basic ice coffee. The staff told me that the shift on those days is a bytch, who wants to follow every pointless rule or she writes them up.
