This is one of those games where Russ was actually passing the ball as the game wound down and wasn't trying to do everything, but nobody could make the shot when it mattered.

They had Russ D'd up nicely, they need to put shooters around him like Harden has. I wonder what they're doing with McDermott at times like this, he is the best shooter they have.

I disagree. If you think Russ is MVP tonight didn't change anything. At this point, voters just want to see Russ keep his team competitive. Beating teams like the Spurs is a bonus. No one is watching this game and thinking that Russ came up short. The output from his teammates wasn't there-- not to mention the foul trouble. It sucks, but it is what it is.
