Lets not go jumping the gun. 50 hit the scene hard back in 2002 and swept the hip hop landscape. U cannot what so ever say that Kendrick has had the same impact, because he hasn't. Plus 50 and Ja Rule's beef was some personal street shyt. This Drake vs. Kendrick bullshyt came from Kendrick's overhyped "diss" track to a bunch of dudes. I don't see it happening. With that said, Drake HAS to respond to the diss if he doesn't want to lose rep points.

A big part of L's longevity...especially early on had to due with the fact that he would shyt on you lyrically, one of his biggest records that helped him carry over from one generation to the next was a fukking BATTLE TRACK
Before rap became a straight up popularity contest, he was dumping on nikkas that could have interfered with his run, drake is not built like L, and as much as LL did "for the ladies" he is a real live MC.
