I hate to say it cause both roger and mayweather sr probably forgot more about boxing than I will ever know about, but both those dudes sound punch drunk and retarded

you think floyd actually follows their advice in the corner or does he just do his own thing?

After the fight, Floyd said his dad told him he was fighting too tight or something....and so he adjusted during the fight.

So yeah, I'd say he listens to them since they train him for several months.

Whether or not they sound "punch drunk or retarded" doesnt mean he doesn't understand what theyre telling him

I was going to comment on this during the fight but yes I do think he listened to his dad last night. I recall one instance where he told Money to stand in the middle of the ring and do the shoulder roll thing and he did it instantly and Canelo couldn't touch him. Seems like he hasn't been touched since Floyd Sr. returned as his head trainer.

I don't know if they listen but I swear his corner has the best reactions when Floyd is clearly winning. The fact that they just start laughing or talking to people in the crowd and joking around kills. The best being the Gatti fight when Floyd sits down and they all just stand up and stare over at the Gatti corner just waiting on the stoppage.

His pops does a great job training him. Roger would just let him do what he wanted.

So I was gonna say yes also, he definitely listens when they give him advice.

Agreed. Floyd's defense is just about impregnable right now. But I think the aesthetics of his offensive skills have been somewhat dulled since Floyd Sr's return. Roger has said before that Floyd Sr taught him how to fight but Roger taught him how to be a better offensive fighter, thereby making him more entertaining to watch.
