A few years ago, another forum I visit had a really good discussion about the subject. Someone posted an article/ report from the head physician at a world renowned hospital (John Hopkins I think) that preformed the male to female surgery. Basically in his report was his reason on why he had decided to stop preforming the surgery at the hospital. He basically said he taken it away b/c in the long run the surgery did not help the vast majority of the subjects and many wanted it reversed after the fact.
Here is a recent article published in the Wall Street Journal this year where John Hopkins is basically saying that they have even more evidence to support that previous decision and how all the media hype and "support" is making the problem worse.

Yeah I heard about this. We live in a very politically correct world tho, so things like this gets swept under the rug or people get blackballed. It's a sensitive topic no doubt, but one that should be put out there and discussed.
