yes, they're tied to your Nintendo account. however you can only have one 'primary' console, so if you lose your Switch, you'll have to talk to Nintendo to make your new Switch the primary

Been 75-85% digital for a decade across multiple platforms(360, PS3, X1, PS4, 3DS, PS Vita, Switch, PC, iOS) and have had 0 problems.

All the games I value I own physical even if I own digital. I'd guess inside the PS5's generation PS3s will probably be cut off.
