There was a time when you could say Kobe Bryant was the best player in the world.

A couple years, actually.

That statement never applied to Dwyane Wade. Or Allen Iverson. or Tracy McGrady.

And TMac is one of my all time favorite players.

That statement applied to Iverson for 2 seasons, Shaq was most dominant (and the only thing that stopped Iverson from carrying a team of D leaguers to a Finals victory), but Iverson was the best player for those 2 years.

Mcgrady played sf half the time and even if he was a 2 he was never better than Kobe, neither was Iverson...the arguments for Wade are warranted but thats it.

Longevity is where Kobe passes almost all of his peers. He was 15 years in before the injuries caught up to him.
