I am really surprised at how mid OG/Bridges/Hart defensive trio is. I expected it to be much better and thought that is what the Knicks identity would be. I know Brunson and KAT arent the best but those 3 have not done much individually too.

He did great last round and deserved the accolades but Bridges was basically brought to NY to stop or at least slow down players like Haliburton and so far he hasn’t done it.

Not a Knicks fan fwiw, but my perspective:

I watched a lot of Thibs back from his Chicago days. His coaching ability is capped at ECFs appearances. He's not going to win a title.

Hart & Bridges are role players at best. Bridges contract isn't attractive for his output but I think he's in the last year of that at least. Hart is a great rebounder for his position but he's inconsistent on offense.

Can KAT & Brunson play together long term?

Pacers are just a better, and more importantly, deeper team. They have 10 guys they trust to play 12+ minutes. And they all play their roles well. The Knicks have 6 guys that they trust. Thats the difference. Stop blaming Thibs. This has been the Knicks team this whole season. Pacers arent a good matchup to have to play possibly 7 games in 13 days against with only 6 guys. Only so much you can do.

Indiana is the main team that we had to catch in the 1st round, when there are more days in between games.

we've seen close sweeps before. the Nets got swept in 2022 against BOS but the games were close. Same with Lakers/Denver in 2023, and Blazers/Warriors in 2019

I’m a big big follower and fan of Bridges. Since his days with Phoenix.

He’s a solid wing defender. One of the best, I think. But Hali is too shifty/quick for him. It’s just a matchup nightmare.
