Haliburton won’t be held to 8 points at home in a potentially series-closing game.
The Knicks have to expect a determined Pacers team to show up. And the home crowd will do everything it can to energize their team.
What the Knicks have to do is maintain a deliberate pace to the game. You can’t run up and down the court trading baskets with Indy.
Five games in, it looks like Thibs has no answer for Indy’s press coverage and harassing of Brunson by Nesmith. And to be fair, Brunson has still managed to score. But given that pressure, if you can’t solve it schematically then I think Thibs ought to encourage his guys to attack the basket and get the Pacers in foul trouble. If the Knicks 3s aren’t falling in Game 6, and they’re not going to the line…it’s gonna get out of hand quickly.
Also, KAT and his stupid fouls is driving everyone crazy.
