I hope people understand the grill is irrelevant. She's black, which means they automatically assume she was handed a spot in med school, got bad grades, and only graduated because the university hands diplomas to black people. This is what you're dealing with in 2025 and if you don't understand they see YOU the same way - whether you're a construction worker, retail clerk, military member or a six figure breh - you lost.

Black people got lynched while wearing suits and church clothes. Doesn't mean we should act a fool but be real: they hate you no matter what.

There are lots of doctors trying to be influencers and attention whore online and it doesn't affect their training or ability to get a job. There is a white psychiatrist raver that literally posts pictures of herself nearly naked and shaking her ass with leaked porn videos....it doesn't freaking matter.

Once you finish medical school and completely residency you'll be gainfully employed. The lady in the OP is an anesthesiologist, she is literally getting paid to put people to sleep, most of those haters that don't want her as a doctor will be begging her to put them under if/when they need her services. she'll be okay.

If a black person is in any position where their numbers are around 5 percent in the field. Theres a high chance that they're the best.

If I walk into a room with a black doctor, pilot, lawyer, etc and they have locs, tattoos, a gold tooth, anything that says to people who view them that —Im not tap dancing for you— I know I'm in better hands than Allstate. They and their work have been examined several times more than their counterparts and they pass the test everytime.

you think she is wearing a grill to work? most people are smart enough to separate their personal life from their professional life.

Again, if you require the service of an anesthesiologist chances are you will be happy she is there grill or no grill.

I personally wouldnt have publicly released that photo cuz people are so dam judgmental and She still has to get into a residency.

But she has time to "mature".

But i would like to point out as a nurse that has worked at teaching hospitals ( meaning ive been around medical students and 1st year residents ) most of them need time to mature and focus on their specialty. Ive worked with some Europeans that were complete stupid ass holes that wish their only problem was a graduation photo.

Society is changing slowly. The military finally allows dreds for women. Men can have “unkept” haircuts. I used to look down on young soldiers with their hair. Now I learned to accept it.

We have doctors with sleeves, lawyers with dreds, and other professions with piercings, that is becoming the new normal. A little mouth jewelry won’t hurt anybody.

I glad she got her degree. But I wouldn't want her to be my medical doctor either not because she's not capable I'm sure she's capable and qualified.

I'm not comfortable with the graduate photos looking like a rap shoot. If that makes me a bad person or sellout so be it.

Yeah if my nurse or doctor is acting like Glorilla or City Girl I'm requesting another doctor ASAP.

But I'm happy for sis in the OP. Insurance too expensive to be letting anybody check and operate on you.
