Young Buck was highly under-rated.

Looking back on his music, I'm inclined to go with the OP on this one, his solo albums were all good/very good and I think he is almost as talented as LLoyd Banks without getting the same amount of love (at least here in the tri-state). To some extent 50 undervalued the overall talent level of G-Unit, imo.

Agreed

Young Buck one of my favorite rappers

I think his music after the G-Unit split was some of the most slept on music

co-incidentally, his new music after the G-Unit reunion hasn't been that dope to me as his old music....

Young Buck, before the G-Unit reunion was coming out with highly quality joints.

I think his best one is this

He's underrated for sure...keeping it a buck I probably would have been a bigger fan, but I'm an OG gunit hater...and that affiliation coupled with 50 killing his credibility by releasing that gunit bureau of investigation wiretap audio of him crying probably deaded his independent run...homie that compared him to gates is spot on...his mixtape material was pretty much all dope, no reason he shouldn't have had a gates/starlito/Don trip type of following

Its very dope mixtape except for snoop hosting it. That song "I'm proud of you" is dope, Buck seems real grounded to me. Dude is a genuine dude.

Buck was the best at displaying emotion in Gunit. He was raw and for me (especially at that time in my life) I could feel his shyt. Definitely the second best skill-wise in the group.

God's Plan
loved his debut album. was just playing black gloves the other day. was the best thing about beg for mercy besides 50. could tell he was hungry. but i dunno, didnt really check for him after he reunited w/ g unit. seems like he kinda had the juice and it all got taken over some foolishness.
