this a serious question...whats yall infatuation with albums?

Whats the benefit?

I have zero knowledge about the industry

but i am a young nikka with common sense

Dro good. shyt rappers who make mixtapes good.

You drop hot music. Sell it on itunes. do shows. collect that bread

What is the difference between an album and a mixtape?

absolutely nothing. Who cares what the formula is

its 2015. Mixtapes are now original material. its not a bunch of freestyles

plus mixtapes allow an artist to be even more creative

Look at the Migos....No Label vs YRN the ablum

you can clearly see how a label influences dumb shyt

A mixtape these days is the equivalent to an album. Most artists mixtapes are better then their album tbh

But an artist with a bunch of classic mixtapes doesn't mean shyt compared to an artist with a catalogue of classic albums

I'll give it chance.... But this is kinda hustling backwards.

Dro got a banger that's heating up nationwide. He needs to use this to push for a album...

I get putting out a mixtape for buzz, but if it's dope we gonna be saying "He should have saved this heat for his album"

And if it's not, he'll fade back into obscurity.

TIP still go him going thru the motions.

:smh:

He can still rap, just messin around, his Day 2 mixtape was the shyt.

And yall can bring up Black Boy Swag/White Boy Tags but that was still Young Dro riding the youth wave,it just so happened to work out:heh:

And mostly the reason it worked out is because he was still Young Dro on that tape overall, the production and overall vibe was Yung LA futuristic but Dro still did him....time to admit I was right and that tape was pretty much the downfall of Dro:mjcry:

Young Dro is Best Thang Smokin Dro,BBS/WBT was still that Dro....this and a lot of the tapes Dro did after that collabo haven't been the Dro most of us all know and love:mjcry:....Personally I don't think without Yung LA quarterbackin he should've tried to attempt to make the kindve music that he made on BBS/WBS on his followups, theres a reason none of it ever sounded nearly as good without Yung LA's involvement.

Tryna ride the young boy swag never worked for Dro without the young boy actually involved in the making of the project.

Young Dro being young with the swag of old ATL players who got linens in every color>>>Young dro being old trying to sound like young ATL nikkas.

But while we hear

:wow:
