Yes you probably miss out on some networking and possibly some jobs that require you to be in the office more.

But if you can save money in gas, wear and tear on your car, child care, lunch money, clothes money, clothes cleaner money and etc then its a straight up win win.

Not to mention if working from home allows you to take care of your health, have less stress, allows you to hustle on the side whether that is a business, crypto, stock and etc. I mean its the best of both worlds right now.

I mean lets say you miss out on a possible job that gives you a 20K raise. But you have to go into the office for that job and had to go into the office previously to network to get that job or promotion. But by not going in you save 15K in food, tolls, gas, clothes and wear/tear on your car. shyt that's only a difference in 5K going into work. It ain't really worth it then you can make that hustling in stocks or crypto or sell junk on Ebay in the time you saved just not going into work.

No one is missing out. Now there may be some networking that you're missing out on. But people, and more and more young people, are valuing their personal time and mental health, over the day to day hustle of being in a office. The fine print is that these real estate moguls, the owners of these skyrises and office buildings, are seeing the decreased money that will be coming in. It's still coming in now, because if you're in a lease you're in it. Once many of these leases are up though, a lot of companies will be looking to either downgrade the space they are currently in, or finding a smaller cheaper space that supports remote working.

This is true and it ain't really young folks. You in your 40s, 50s and 60s with kids or grandkids or a freaking life you ain't trying to go into work either.

In the end work is work and no matter the age group folks looking for convenience and to get paid the same as they would if they went into the office.......period.

Y’all taking y’all asses back to “work” :mjlol:

You really think these cities and metros about to leave all these buildings and sky scrapers half empty while y’all sit at home in sponge bob pajamas, repeating the same shyt on the coli you probably posted 100 times before with pornhub tabs open incognito like shyt sweet…?

There’s whole economies around y’all being in the city, front the top of them skyscrapers and the maintenance / upkeep which doesn’t stop, down to the parking lots, shopping, day care, the utilities and shyt underneath, …Gas nor electric being used as much, like everybody gets a piece of that. This country and it’s handlers need y’all out and about which is why this whole half lock down shyt was never gonna work or really happen like that it most places here…

Don’t take me feeling any type of way about it personally, I tab my jabs at you office bozos :lolbron: but it’s just talkin shyt and we still all in this together…y’all are gonna have to take a stand :yeshrug:

Most cities have a massive housing shortage, they can turn office buildings to residential.

Most cities have a massive housing shortage, they can turn office buildings to residential.

That’s not even remotely reasonable in most of these buildings breh…and that takes a LOT of capitol on top of getting even started to get permission from the city. Plus there’s a lot of spaces/areas they’d rather have developers focus on instead of shyt that already has a proper use.

why would you want to do any of that anyhow??
I think it’s your approach that is flawed not being remote.

Just be honest, no BS.
‘Hey I’m new, I would like to get to know more people in positions like yours so I know when to engage you or your team. Can we have a chat to go over a few things?’

That’s it!
Easier and you’ll have a more focused call anyhow.
This is how your average white male operates, at least how they are where I work. And it works.

I love working from home. And I don’t have to pay for child care and I see my husband more often.

Converting office buildings into apartments is mostly about money. If what an owner can get from residential plus the conversion is greater than foreseeable commercial leases then it will be converted. Most of the former commercial buildings in the wall street area have already been converted and that was even before the pandemic. If the work from home trend continues then they'll have no choice if they want to make money.

Ya there's alot of those.
I once met a co-worker I only talked on the phone maybe 8 times in meetings, in a group setting.
Then I met him in person and he was telling me how he's going out with this girl, but she has too many guy friends and that he thinks her friends are trying to get into her pants but he really likes her so he doesn't want to risk telling her to stop talking to them.

People like that are weird man, especially if they are from the west coast, like he was.
I get it. A lot of people are extroverts. But a lot of people don’t understand boundaries. That’s way too much info to be sharing with a work colleague.

my home life is just fine. My social life outside of work is fine. But I understand not everybody has it like that so for them work is an outlet. And rest assured they will find someone at the job that is just like them. It just won’t be me.

I feel sorry for the ones that just made management and were looking forward to making the younger office working generation their bytches since they had to go through it :umad:

Bow there’s no real need for middle management and “overseers” so they feel threatened they are about to lose their jobs with no one to boss around in person :banderas::camby:
