These posts r why we aren’t cohesive as a black community.

a black man who’s been arrested and charged by cops, can’t tell his experience bc of his occupation?

The ex convicts in our community shouldn’t have a say in this country bc white ppl say they’re not important? :mjtf:

Jesus what’s wrong with y’all. :snoop: He represents a good size portion of our community, black men who have had legal trouble. They should have a say

I have no issue with Jeezy's participation in politics. I think it's great TBH.

But, the original post stated he was there for reparations -- and to speak and/or advocate for it.

No where in Jeezy's comment - or any information on the event has proven that to be true.

We honestly, don't know why he is there -- or what policies and changes he is advocating for.

And I HOPE Jeezy knows - as do others -- that Biden has already stated he does not support reparations and clearly doesn't understand the issues in the Black community as a whole.

Imagine it being too much to ask that a presidential hopeful NOT sit down with a black man that's not only a rapper, but is known for making cocaine music.

so if he trapped and wasn’t a rapper. Would u be ok with him speaking with the president?

It was a troll title. Biden also changed his position a few months back btw. He’s willing to discuss reparations now.

Also imagine believing that's the best we have to offer from our communities too :gucci:

I love Jeezy -- but I agree with this.

I am happy Jeezy is there -- but they are in Atlanta.

It's plenty of non-entertainers who are in the community and are more well-versed on our issues and the polices that are aiding in our issues -- that should have been invited and presented to the press. He is in the mecca of historic Black higher education - the AUC.

Absolutely not. He's an entertainer bruh, this is serious business, this is about people's lives.
this is literally no different than if they'd had a black man in drag sitting next to him.

go get a Morehouse professor, a doctor, a prominent lawyer, activist..there are tons of those in Atlanta.

No. He hasn't -- and he doesn't.

The last comment he made on reparations was on September 19th. And that is where he made another -- tone-deaf and extremely racist and paternalistic comment,

they were all there tho. 15 black men with degrees from the best schools In the nation were at the table. He was the only one that didn’t have that background. Why do y’all have a problem with that?

no breh. The reason he said that was bc the “blacks in mental health alliance” a non profit are lobbying him to help poor black kids in the country and inner cities to support mental health individuals to visit them in homes or black schools, bc they have no means to get to them. He agreed to do it.

Undiagnosed black kids especially black males are 15x more likely to end up in jail bc of their mental health issues.

Check our the site it’s all on there. Black Mental Health Alliance|

The super left is trying to misconstrue his words bc they support other candidates. We’ve been lobbying for this for almost two decades. Biden’s the first person who openly said he’d help us out.

I don't. I am happy to hear other Black men were there -- and I am happy that Jeezy was there too.

But, you have to understand - the presentation to the public was not the full picture -- and Jeezy got the press and was the "face" of the Black men who participated.

It also potentially pushes away other Black men who are not entertainers and athletes - because they may feel like they won't get to be in the room UNLESS they are a Black celeb. So, they may think - why bother?

This needs to stop.

That is why people always say Black Children (and some adults) look up to entertainers and sports players over those in professionals and other careers. It's because of the media.

And having ONLY Jeezy (an entertainer) released to the press -- as he was there to be a voice for Black America's issues wasn't the best look.

IMO, Black celebs need to stop being so self-centered and start highlighting the OTHER black men and women in the room.

Jeezy could have taken a picture with some of those Black men in the room -- and posted THAT -- so we knew others were there -- and he would have introduced others to another Black men in politics.

they were 1 out of 20 “black leaders” he met with.

check the pics :snoop: stop being so insecure thinking that’s the only ppl he would meet with.

I couldn’t name more than 2 ppl off love and hip hop. That doesn’t mean love and hip hop ppl or fans, can’t be in the same room as the smartest black ppl in our community. Everyone should have a voice. We need to stop with this talented tenth, black elites only message

It's Brehette

And I"m sorry and with all due respect -- but you are wrong. He did not agree to it.

He immediately stated his comment when asked about Reparations. Joe Biden does not support reparations. Joe Biden has NOT changed his mind. Joe Biden is a Dixiecrat. Joe Biden has NO Black agenda -- and doesn't even think we are worth one - like many others.

Joe Biden is innately racist -- and is not the candidate that Black Americans should be supporting.

This wasn't about mental health. And YES, mental health is an issue in our community -- just like every-other community. But, our mental health is tied in to systematic, institutional and historic white supremacy/racism/terrorism.

OH -- congrats on the org! Seriously! That's beautiful!
