To be honest, he didn't really promote drug dealing.
"Now who the fukk wanna play with guns? A lot of holes, a lot of blood, dog...the shyt ain't fun"

If you actually paid attention to his shyt, he was talking about his life and to the nikkas living that life.
Now if you are already fukked up and/or in the game, you will find that exciting and inspiring but I doubt it would make a normal man go out and start shooting people and cook crack.

Of course if you hear what you want to hear like "In a world where street nikkas got more money than George Bush" or "I'm down in 4th ward fukking around with O-dog where them nikkas straight drop no whip dog". And that's the only thing you receive, forget about the rest.
Then that's pure promotion. But then you are neglecting the fact that O-dog got 20 and snitched 1 year after that song and that George Bush is still rich but all those other nikkas are dead or in jail.
In the same sense the news promote gang banging too, if you only capture is "with 2 million dollars" and x out the part about him getting life for it.

So rapping about/promoting a lifestyle that can get you YEARS in jail is any better than rapping about/promoting drug use?

It’s over for us man lol this world really went to shyt
nikka gtfoh. :stopitslime:

Dont act like NOW you're mad about rappers that talk about selling dope. NWA had a song called DOPEMAN.

I’d rather them push over being a J. I grew up in the hustle learned from the hustle and got out of the Hustle earned my stripes and never was a J...

So you would want ur kids to push dope?

That’s something admirable?

U nikkas are retarded I seriously hope y’all wake up one day

I’m not mad I just don’t see how one is any better than the other

We really comparing the two like “don’t be a junkie be a pusher!”

Lol that’s the saddest shyt I ever heard in my life

And I come from a family of hustlers and some users and it pains me to see what my family is now that I’m older and understand life a little more

How about you rather them stay away from that life all together?

Is that still an option or is society that fukked up that it’s one or the other?

Yes but you are sampling one bar.
He also said "All the real nikkas either dead or in jail".

I can sample one bar from everything, even NY Times and draw any conclusion I want.

Ok but regardless he glorified hustling

I just saw a thread the other day that said ralo (I think it was) says jeezy inspired damn near the whole Atlanta to push dope

And yeah I’m sure he also inspired some kids to stay away from the drug game but what good is that when he clearly inspired kids to get into the drug game?

So all of Atlanta wasn't pushing dope before Jeezy? Ralo would not be a mechanic if Jeezy didn't rap.
Drug dealing has gone down as drug dealing rap has increased in all major cities.

Cats look at Chicago now and this oh it's hell, whereas crime is down like 70% since the late 80s, early 90s when no one was rapping about this shyt.
Same with Atlanta, New York, La etc.

And his life was glorious at times, nikkas were in clubs blowing mad dough, fat asses, cars, ice all that shyt. But it also meant risking your life, freedom, losing friends, staying posted in disgusting trap houses breathing disgusting crack smell, no pension, paranoia and on. That's what it is and that's what you heard in his music. Perhaps not as real or deep as Jay-z, but still that was all reflected.
