Did you fully skip on Bucharest? I'm doing Balkans early next year w/ high hopes. Probably pass through Bucharest anyway, but stay in Cluj. I've had some Romanians tell me Bucharest not worth it at all.

I heard it's dirt cheap outside of Bucharest and touristy areas in big cities.

Brasov isn't cheap either. Yea I skipped Bucharest completely, just drove out of it from the airport. Everyone told me not to bother with it aswell.
