I'm 37 and people think I'm in my 20s still...so why did generations before us look so old when they were not?

I always laugh looking at old photos of Cali gangs. Bs and Cs in their 20s looked like they were in their 30s in prime shape with full mustaches.
Them old cali gangbangers looked like professional bodybuilders.

Well those generations went through way more shyt in their childhood than us.

As well remember in those days drinking, smoking everyday were commonplace and food was utter garbage back then. Clean water and clean air regulations were non existent , fewer people losing their teeth, dealing with war. Manual jobs etc., how many men just worked at an office desk back then or "tech"
