So what I get from these calls is that he and all the street rappers like durk, baby, youngboy wanted features from the Conscious rappers, but salty they didn't get them, so now they salty.

Jcole has worked with Thug a number of times and you see what he feels about him. :mjlol:
J Cole pretty much gifted durk a hit record with all my life. He has songs with 21, kodak

I think he stayed away from YB cause he was crashing out at the time and him having a hit song with durk would prob make it look funny.

Man, watch out :mjlol:

This is bullshyt in regards to the point Thug was making…I never listened to a j Cole album in entirety in my life and generally wasn’t a fan until he started murking those features with those guys and he started having motion in what Thug referred to as “real life”…”real players and lit bytches” was actually anticipating his next album before he let Kenny destroy all his momentum…which is a separate issue (he likely got leaned on) outside of what got him hot in the first place

Fair…but he had a different energy leading into what was supposed to be the lead up to The Fall Off…he was starting to be looked at as that nikka…and it purely off the strength of wrecking culturally relevant features left and right…that’s part of being “the guy”

Cole gifted Durk with the record and durk acted ungrateful and acted like he didn't care.

Notice how his music discussions on these calls entirely revolve around commerce? Who is selling, who is big, who is helping artists sell. I like plenty of Thug tracks and projects, he's made some amazing shyt. But it's pretty clear there is no artistry at this point, it's just about money. Which mirrors how a lot of the biggest voices in rap talk. When does Ak talk about actual music, VS who is selling lol.
