there are watches that cost that much on their own, usually with some crazy tourbillon minute repeater complication. probably just as useless as diamond bezels(at least in 2015) but it doesn't get stigmatized as much.

Those dudes buy $100k plus iced out watches that add no value and is jeweler profit.

They would be so much better off just buying a plain president, yacht master, Sky dweller, etc etc pretty much any stock watch and leave it plain. They don't loose value, if anything the value increases over time
