That's why a drummer and bassist (rhythm section) have different qualities than the string players/vocalists in bands.
Yeah at some point they got to harmonize all together in the music. However, they're still different elements given the roles provided and their specializations.
Some emcees are masters at flows

and there's probably a handful who can say are well-rounded, enough to be exceptional at both



. Depends on how
musically inclined emcees are from one another in terms of their abilities.
Then you have abominations like these 2:

That being said, Thugger is way more creative in delivery than flow. Not his constant reliance on ATL double-time cadences - being grouped often in metric groupings in 3 & 4 notes. shyt, Future changes his flow on each song more than Thugger does for entire mixtapes (All the ones I've heard anyways), plus whenever he tries other tempos, it just sounds forced.
