I heard this song being passed around on Tik-Tok, Its more sad than anything. This new generation doesn't know anything about these songs, our history, etc.

This goes back to the other thread where we were discussing the fact that yes, white directed school curriculums don't teach us the truth about our history.

But neither do black parents and its a damn shame that this young man's parents failed him, and that they were in turn probably failed by their parents.

We're in such a rush to assimilate to white society that we don't even pass down the history of our ppl to our children and it's sad. We let white ppl dictate to us what to teach our babies.

I've said it on here before. I read 100 Years of Lynching when I was 7. That should be required reading for every black man, woman and child in this country.
