One of the most memorable quotes in the interview was Childish’s statement in which he said that “Black people are not allowed to fail,” because black people are not afforded the chances that white people have.

I have a friend that reminds me of Childish Gambino too. He grew up in ATL with no ATL accent, he's observationally funny, politically minded, a skilled writer with a master's degree, has zero hood in him, and is extremely awkward in dress, conversation, movement, and facial expression.
Why they say you remind them of dude idk. When I asked "guess why", I was alluding to the fact that most Black women would find Glover unbearably corny, and not sexy.
I find him corny, and insightful. I like the show Atlanta, and a few of his songs.
Nah. I know several black women who find him and corny/nerdy guys attractive. My man is kind of corny/nerdy and a few of my friends/associates are married to men like Glover. If it weren't dangerous I'd link you to facebook pages of mine and my friends. Actually one of my friend's fiancée looks kind of like Glover.
I don't like that "most" talk, it's too general. I'm not saying all women will like him or guys like him but there are plenty black women who would. Let's not act like every group of women gives nerdy guys a chance and black women don't.
