bc i think what's happening is two different conversations, based on two different definitions and agendas.
for the men who complain about being overlooked, they attribute their romantic failure to positive qualities - being too nice, or too smart, or having too much integrity. they believe women don't want these good qualities, and instead prefer men who offer danger and excitement.
in response, the women are saying that it isn't those good qualities that turn women off, it is the bad qualities, the bad qualities that these men refuse to come to terms with - not physically attractive, socially awkward, depressing, delusional ect.
It would be like me saying, ugh, men don't want me bc i'm too kind, nurturing, and supportive. all men just want a bytch.
