I think there is a communication problem with brehs and the sistas. For example, when I used to work retail me and some of my coworkers like 2 Italian Chicks and one PR chick all used to sit and discuss Game of Thrones (Yeah, I know Cac shyt lol).

We be there talkin bout the show, on some "Did you see the last episode?" :ooh: type shyt. Talking bout different scenarios, joking and laughing and shyt :ehh:

I find often times brehs and the sistas don't have these simple kind of convos. It might just be me but I can't think of many times where I would see a Breh just talking about shyt like a TV show, or the weather, or some random topic with a sista and just laughing and having a good time.

This is how brehs like a Donald Glover end up with non-Black women because they end up discussing regular shyt and just chilling, basically I feel like the kind of convos the brehs have with sistas are limited to a certain degree. It's like there's always some weird tension between BM and BW if you ask me :yeshrug:

I agree and that's on them. Do you know how many black women watch GoT, anime, and are into video games?! Plenty. But everyone stereotypes us and thinks all we like are shows like Love and HipHop. That's on black men. You can talk to everyone else about your interests but assume we black women wouldnt know what you're talking about smh. Like I said above, men like Glover automatically write us off, they don't give us a chance. Somehow in everyone's mind you have to have an ill mouthpiece to talk to black women or be a baller. We're normal people, you can talk to us like normal people.

My boyfriend told me that when he initially saw me he thought I wouldn't give him a chance and was possibly stuck up, but he took a shot. And guess what? He's my boyfriend now.

Never seen this. If the non-black woman is a 8-10, then the black guy likely is too. If he's attractive, black women will like him.
Always see this. These nerds pull dimes. Could have been a black woman but as usual they buggin becuase he aint tupac in a business suit

Lol the movie is imitating real life, they didn't just pull that scenario out their ass lol. I went to a school that was predominantly white (only a year but ehh) and it was reality. It was like I stepped into one of those schools on those white sitcoms. They had your nerds, geeks, goths, and populars (jocks, cheerleaders, attractive boys and girls). None of the popular white girls even acknowledged the nerds existence. They all dated the jocks. Funny enough nerds, weren't even checking for their nerd counterparts. They all wanted people out of there league. Well most did, one couple was smart enough to find their own level (a nerdy couple).
Theres a difference between looking like a fukking nerd and being a nerd but not looking like one. The later is what im talking about

Do you think that men assume black women aren't interested in those things? I've had that type of response quite a bit.
I think Black women are interested in those kinds of things but you'd have to take your time and find the kind of BW that have those kinds of interests. Like for example the other day I was talking to a sista (Cashier at H&M) about the X-Files TV show, this sista knew everything about the show and shyt, me and her were discussing episodes. I was like :gladbron: I felt like she ought to be my best friend just for that lol
But if I'm gon keep it real, I highly doubt I can go up to the average sista and go talk to her about some shyt like the X-files without getting a :dahell:type response though

Bottom line is I think BM and BW just need to be able to have more friendly convos with one another

So youre basically saying the first two are true representations of black women?

Yes they are true variations of black women. I personally know multiple IG hoes and I personally know chicks who'd fall in love with a dude with a decent mixtape. I'd bet my coli account that you know someone like one of those two. If you say that you don't you're either lying or friendless.

Reason no guys are complaining about the guys on the show is because most of us know a guy like Earn or the other two or are just like Earn or the other two. Art imitating life.

His parents never raised him in a "black" environment

Mom a Jehova witness, nikka wasn't allowed to watch tv at all and she copped all his clothes at Macy's, son he aint even know what "being black" was, aint his fault.

nikka went to an art school out of district and aint get p*ssy til he was 22, black girls were not checkin for this dude at all, idk what yall expected him to be growing up like that.

Giving those circumstances the fact that he went so hard to get a realistic black show on tv is even more impressive

He sure managed to find his way into black culture and insert himself into the hiphop world full of nikkas:stopitslime:?but you tellin me he cant find a corny sista who likes dudes just as corny as her?

fukk that, bruh gettin the same tag yall would give anybody else....corny black people find each other all the time....and being that he is famous,im sure theres plenty of nerdy black women at his shows, and in his industry who are actually finding him.

You cant act like you woke and on that pro black shyt, than not get called out for shyt like this....he shoulda stayed quiet and impregnated his white women in peace and he wouldnt be getting called out by me:heh:

Have you seen the thread about the Insecure show where a large number of Black men here are bytching about one of the male characters being a Black man who stays home bullshytting while his girl is at work?

Which is fine, but when said corny dude makes it big (which tends to happen alot) the black lash doesn't seem to fit that narrative.

Its sad when black men who are corny feel they can't attract women of there own race or don't attract women of there own race but others.

If you notice, in the case of Glover and those like him, there is no black female collective outrage that he dates interracially.

Take for example the thread y'all posted on LSA. It's a bunch of Black women just laughing at him.

Almost all those women are not offended, or saddened by his choice. They're just laughing.

Outside of corniness, think of the type of Black men who date white whales - poor/working class, uneducated, dependent men. Again, there is never any outrage over these men by Black women, bc they don't consider those men desirable in the first place.

Recently, the actor that plays Luke Cage was questioned by Charlemagne about his interracial marriage. Charlemagne claimed there was mass outrage by black women- this was the first I, and most Black women had ever even heard the suggestion. Derivative blogs picked up the story and kept repeating it as if it were true. When the real truth of the matter is, nothing even close to mass outrage besides a few random tweets with like 3 retweets.
Black women aren't generally interested in that brother, for whatever reason, so we don't care.

I'm gonna say...
Black women criticize BM-nonBlack female relationships in two cases:

1. the brother and/ or his mate mock Black women (staring at us in the street, talking shyt on social media/to their kids etc)

2. they deem the brother desirable

I feel you sista but in my experiences I've seen brehs try to have casual convos with sistas and the sistas act like the brehs are tryna get in their pants by simply trying to spark up a convo. There are some trust issues here that need to be addressed imo
