Check your local supermarkets, drugstores and Walmart. Also comes in powder form, just add water....

I exfoliate and also I used it after every shave in the morning. Not at night though. I wonder if it was just partially my own doing. I can be a bit OCD with the shyt sometimes and I might of been practically shaving my skin off. :yeshrug: I dunno
Could be fam. Ive been using it for almost a year now, and i think ive only had one razor bump since then. It changed my life to be honest.

Also I dont use those commercial gillette type razors. I only use trimmers,5 star super shaver, and a barber razor if i see hairs that i missed. Maybe try those tools

i use double edge

and also

schick-hydro-5-shaver.jpg

i only use the Shick one cause Gillette ones dull faster

this one can last me over 2 months before i need to change cartridges

also if you dont take care of your skin then you will get razor bumps

the reason alot of u get razor bumps is cause u dont use black soap
and use that wack ass chemical bar soap instead

I have to shave everyday for ROTC. There's some african guy in there who has mad razor bumps, and i feel for that nikka.

I usually just dry shave with my andis t-outliners (i also cut my own hair) or i use an electric Braun razor. If im going out i might even use shaving cream with the Braun:ohlawd:

I also got a safety razor last fall. Personally im not that impressed:manny:however it only has one setting (it was only 25 bucks though). They sell adjustable ones for a little more, but hey. Id just stick with a rechargeable Braun for 40-50 bucks. Ive had it for 2 years now and it literally takes 2 mins to run it over your face.

Yeah I've already done the safety razor with badger still got ingrowns:yeshrug:

Apparently this is a different shaped razor the nikka has a sole patent on. They had an event in Atlanta it seemed different. Idk i may have it worse than most my pops ended up just getting his beard lasored off with electrolysis. I may just do the same
That means it can't grow back?

If you're Black and get razor bumps your best and cheapest option for a close shave with no bumps is Magic Shave Cream or Powder. I use the cream because its easier to use, but the powder is legit too. The only downside is that if you leave it on your skin to long it will burn you, also the shyt stinks so if you share a bathroom try to shave when no one is likely to use the bathroom(early morning/ late night). You can find the stuff in wallmart, target usually in the shaving section or sometimes in those "ethnic" skin/hair care sections where you find the du rags.

The andis T clippers are the go to for most black males. You don't get as close of a shave, but there is no smell and it is a multi purpose tool.

Bevel is becoming more and more popular, but I personally think its a rip off. You'll be better of finding an old school safety razor online and buying off the shelf shaving cream and after shave for sensitive skin. Bevel is the most expensive option I've seen for black men. They try to sell you on the subscription service which is $60 to start, then $30 every month, but the only send you refills every 90 days. So essentially you pay $150 for 4 months of shaving supplies. Another gotcha is the only way you can cancel is if you call during business hours by phone. They have a non subscription gift pack, but its $90 and it's essentially a the starter pack.

Razors?............:laff::laff::laff:

:whoa: Not good for your skin, breh.

We can still use razors. But, we need to just use a better technique.

  • Stop stretching your skin (or usin' a lot of pressure) it causes you to shave below your skin causing the hair to grow up throught the skin = bumps
  • Brush your facial hair to straighten it out...coarse and curly hair grows out and into the skin
  • Use clippers to touch up in between shaves

So I signed up for the dollarshaveclub a few months back (its dope) and I figured I get the most expensive option which has six blades and a trimmer on the back. When I first used it I was like "Damn this is smooth" as it only took one pass to get the hair and the trimmer was nice for the goatee. However, a day later my face was irritated as hell. I've had issues bumping up a lot like a lot of black dudes and the shyt was the same old story. I've tried all types of shyt to minimize the bumps and it wasn't working.

I heard folks say that using a straight blade works for them and when I get work at the barber thats what they used but I never wanted to invest the time to using that shyt. A handle blade is my preference. So I switched my plan from the six blade razor and got their dollar option which was the twin blade.

With the two blades, my shave is actually smoother and I didn't feel a damn thing shave. Just felt like someone rubbing my face lightly. Also no bumps :blessed::blessed: afterwards.

So use single blades breh. For my dudes who deal with the bumps, you have any other tips to make my face feel like a baby's ass?

Gillete Mach3 Turbo FTW, combine that with that Bumpstopper and you'll be good within a week. the main thing is once you get rid of the bumps to keep shaving, you get the bumps because of your curly hair follicles
