Hey what up y'all. I was watching the new Obi-Wan show the other day and I said that the Grand Inquisitor was monologuing like he was Hans Landa in the beginning of Inglorious Basterds. This got me thinking about great movie monologues.

Obviously we have Hans Landa talking about what makes him such a great "Jew hunter" because he doesn't hunt like a hawk, who only looks where he would hide. That ain't how he gets his shyt done. And trust me, he gets it done.

Now that scene is great. Another scene, also written by Quentin Tarantino, is Dennis Hopper's "Sicilian" monologue in True Romance. That may be the best I've ever seen. Walken is in top form. The way Hopper switches up when he realizes that he's done and asks for the cigarette. From that moment, he's in control. The music shifts. And Dennis Hopper proceeds to go Game 6 LeBron. A tour de fukking Force.

That's what I got. How bout y'all? What are some of your favorite movie monologues?

Until next time

Technically not a movie but the way its shot and edited it kinda feels like a 10 hour movie. Anyway this one comes right at the end and stuck with me...especially what happened in the real world almost right after.

I ain't know Jena Malone had that in her. I haven't seen this show. Iont care for her or Miles Teller but the pregnant pauses, composure and delivery really "captivates" the audience. She makes u hang on every word

Can't believe I almost forgot this one. Powerful. Shakespeare so it's almost cheating but Harry Lennix made it his own.

What a fukkin performance. When the music starts swelling at 54 seconds :banderas: It ain't cheating. I have a degree in English. Had to take 2 Shakespeare courses but I never saw this movie. I'ma have to check it out now. Did u catch the new Denzel "Macbeth"?

Nah was it good? I been meaning to. I saw a trailer and I loved that they went with a minimalist/theater approach to the production design.

It was aight but Denzel is my favorite actor so I was gon watch regardless. The minimalist approach and production design was dope. Denzel did his thing in a couple of scenes but nothing as powerful as the scene u posted. The ending is kinda truncated but I'd say it's still worth a watch. I'd prolly give it ** 1/2 outta 4 but I could see someone giving it *** 1/2 based on the cinematography and production design.
