Something is off about the show for me. I'm not enjoying it as much as maybe the initial premise would leave me to believe. I don't know it doesn't seem like the stakes are particular high in the show. Also I really dislike the inner monolouging and I really hate this LA/Hollywood type of dialouge. You see it on the Bear too where characters are talking to each other in this fake snappy overly sarcastic way. I don't know when I noitced this type of character dialouge but now that I have I see it in way too many shows and it irks the fukk out of me. People don't converse like that.

They “covered “ their tracks by having Coop saying he bought a WiFi jammer to stop cameras and shyt.

The writers tried to get around this by saying that these guys were so rich and had so much shyt that they really wouldn’t notice the watches and stuff missing or just assume they misplaced it on a trip. The one family that noticed blamed the maid, fired her and called the police.

This ish is a drag to get through. It's not that the writing is bad per se, just too convenient and boring.

I'm halfway through the season and I don't see the stakes, consequences or goal that these characters are striving towards, outside of dealing with the daily issues of adulting.

There's absolutely nothing interesting about any of the characters and a lot of the storyline archs, I feel have been present in other shows and fleshed out a lot better.

Does this improve for the people who finished it?

I don’t think Olivia Munn did it just because it would be too obvious/straight-forward

The wife who killed the soon to be ex-husband, who just happened to take a trip out of town around the time he was killed, happened in her house, the main suspect is someone she’s sleeping with, she also had a mini-breakdown when she got to her parents house and cried on her mother’s shoulder, too many things point to her etc

I think she’s just a red-herring

Eh, normally I'd agree if the show started as a whodunit.

  1. She was the beneficiary of a $20M life insurance policy.
  2. We really don't know enough about Paul to make anyone else a good candidate.
  3. Cops let her know they know about her and Coop and she doesn't tell him is a huge red flag.
  4. How many other people would know that Coop's trunk is broke making it easy to plant evidence?

It doesn’t even need to be a whodunnit - like what kind of writing is it when everything is just fed to you, I mean - it’s not like there’s anything else going for it

Like, the show isn’t bad, but it’s kinda just plodding along - if the big event this season - the murder - is just so straight forward and apparent - what the hell was the point in any of this?

We’ll see in any case, I’m hoping for the sake of the show she’s just a red herring

I think you guys are talking about two different things. @Uchiha God is saying he doesn't think Olivia Munn character did the murder, not the set-up.

watching the season finale now, and it's crazy. these :bryan: on this show care so much about what other people think that despite both of them losing their jobs, they flat out REFUSE to downsize their lifestyles.

Decent first season and finale. I wasn’t really checking for this, but the first episode drew me in.
I knew Olivia Munn was guilty when she confronted Mel in the coffee shop. She was one of the only people who knew that Coop’s trunk was broken.

Not sure how you do a season 2, without it being ridiculous.

I get Coop turning down the job at the old firm for multiple reasons, including working under the piece of shyt again and realizing how being tied to a job where you're spending more time working than with family and how that threatens those relationships and how you're caught in this cycle of just buying more and more shyt and comparing it to your peers and trying to stay at their level, but going back to robbing, is eh
