I hear what you are saying but I think people who criticize that generation are not saying what they did wasn't great but there wasn't a long term goal outside of integration to benefit black folks and not much was done in terms of rebuilding the black community after integration was achieved. No one in the black community is above constructive criticism especially when there is so much more work to be done. We have to be able to learn from our mistakes in order to correct them.

I did and he spoke on some interesting points. I don't think we can totally write off that whole generation as failures but I also don't believe they are beyond reproach because of what they did.

They gave everything away for white acceptance. Now we're fukked and trying to reverse 50 years of back sliding after our ancestors did all that work building up what businesses we had.
