One day I stumbled upon some Premo instrumentals when I was a kid, never looked back. Boom bap until my last breath.

sounds like the place where love lives. what was unsigned homies name?

I still make (real) Hip Hop. I just realize that it will never be something the masses want again. I REFUSE to rhyme to 120 bpm keyboard "beats" with no discernable break beat. If your idea of keeping H.E.R. alive is trying to create the next "trap" or "drill" sensation then have at it. If it's not Classic Rappity Rap Boom Bap then it's beneath my notice. On some Galactus shyt.

Later grew to like Jigga/Nas/Rakim, random old school cats. I'm prob more into producers, def a Mos Def head.

I couldn't even say, since forever. Rap was literally all we listened to, it's not like I had a choice in the matter. I used to watch rock videos on MTV and the box though as a youngun but that was about it. fukk posters, my room back in the day was covered in cut out ads from the source of my favorite rappers :heh:

My first mixtape was a rap attack tape this dude my pops was renting the basement out to gave me.

My first album was either redman whut the album or Warren g I can't remember.

For me its gotta be like '87 or '88. Mad vivid memories of LL Cool J, MC Hammer, Sir MIx-A Lot, & Run DMC videos.

I had an older brother(6 years older) so he had Slick Rick, Ice-T, Too Short, Easy E, Eric B & Rakim, BDP, & Public Enemy, & NWA tapes. All was shyt from like 87 & 88. I was in the second grade reciting explicit street raps word for word.:heh:

But it was the summer of 1990 that turned me out brehs. Me and my brother listened to Ice Cube's Amerikkka's Most Wanted everyday for a whole summer. That album is ingrained in me. Ice Cube my favorite rapper of all time. I was obsessed with Cube as a youngin and bought everything Ice Cube affiliated for at least the next 10 years.
