I don't know if i dropped this story...if i did this is more in depth

My uncle was sent to prison when i was 5 years old in the early 90's, and my grandmother kept a few random items that belonged to him in a duffel bag in her closet.

i had to be about 10-12 i can't really remember but one summer I found the same duffel bag and inside was some old ass shaving cream, empty box of bullets, a NWA cassette tape (NWA's Greatest Hits), and a Mack 10's debut album "Mack 10".

one day I hid in my grandmother's room while she was at work, locked her door, popped the tape in her radio and the first song i ever heard was Nwa - Just Don't Bite It

i sat there like :gladbron::ooh::leon:. I listened to every song on both tapes until it was time for my granny to come back home the whole summer

Been in love with hiphop ever since.

I was like 16 when I started fukking round with computers tho. My cousin introduced me to Kazaa and its been a wrap ever since.:dj2:

I was pretty sheltered as a kid and my mom kept me in the house and pretty much watched what I listened too. Only CD i kept in my walkman was Michael Jackson's Dangerous album (which is still :fire: by the way).

The only hip-hop CD I had was Will Smith's Big Willie Style, Lil' Bow Wow's Beware Of Dog, the MIB soundtrack, and the Space Jam soundtrack. The song I fell in LOVE with on the Space Jam sountrack was Hit Em' High..I swear I know this song front to BACK!

However after that I was brainwashed by the MTV TRL shyt and was listening to the NSYNC's and the Britney Spears (not like there is ANYTHING wrong with that :birdman:)

The first time I was EVER introduced to hardcore hip-hop was when I was listening to the MTV Internet Radio and they played DMX's What's My Name uncensored. And that shyt left me like :ohhh:

After that I got that CD sheet that you pick what albums you want to buy and u check "Bill Me Later" :smugfavre:

So I choose, Hov's Vol 3., Sisqo's Unleash The Dragon, OutKast Speakerboxxx/Love Below, DMX's And Then There Was X and a few others..

when I got those albums I played them motherfukkers back to back to back. I especially LOVED DMX's music and became a DMX fan after that...

Then after DMX I got into 2Pac, then though him I got into Biggie, then Nas, then Hov...and that lead me to Eminem...

and the rest is history :banderas:

first rap album i heard was nastradamus or some kind of nas mix cd, even back then i only played shoot em up & project windows :lolbron: my mothers friend had a dislikeable son who was like 5 years older than me & i stole 2 CD's from him, they were blank disks & i didn't even know who/what was written on em. I now know the second CD was murda muzik, I was stuck on that intro as a kid & used to rewind to p's verse all the fukking time, shyt hit me in the soul. It was destiny that brought me to the gawd at such a young age :blessed:i had a good start :obama:

Parents listen to Pac and Bone Thugs constantly as a child as well as old soul and funk records. Never had a problem with me listening to anything even though they were a bit older, born when my parents were reaching 40, since they saw music as a good outlet and taught me that shyt was 99.9% fiction. pretty much I've always been a fan of the music.

I think the first rap tape I ever owned was Fat Boys first one, Krush Groove soundtrack or UTFO first one which I all still have.

Heard 30 Days by Run DMC on the radio at eight y.o. My peopls didn't play much music around the house so this was the first time I sat down and listened to music. Started rapping almost immediately and started asking older kids around the way for tapes. I love H.E.R. desparately. I consider my Beloved to be whole and complete. Classic HipHop is in the bucket. 1973-2003. Great run. This new s***, Contemporary, is something different. Some who like the new s*** can't stand the old s***. And that's okay.

nah you dont love her as much as me because i have sex with her corpse every night

as long as my sperm is swimming inside she is alive

The Mecca of HipHop

@MC Metaphysical I was the Dir. of Promotions for my small label. The YoungBloodz was cool as shyt. Rolling dice, getting drunk and chill. Killah Priest was funny as fukk. Had mad energy when he performed. Was on the tour with Dead Prez and Killa Mike in Chicago for the LL tour. We had a unsigned artist perform on the tour who can spit crazy and was highly knowledgable.
