Props.

Where do you stand on it?

From you introducing this to me. It seems you also feel ASAP did take from SGP? He is only claiming he learnt to make beats from him lol.

Talking real greasy to him, I am liking the sounds from SGP though.
Yea Rocky definitely was influenced by Purrp. In real time though (during the beef) Rocky tried to play it off and didnt want to admit it. But as time went on you saw multiple failed attempts at recreating what he achieved being under Purrps influence. Even the faux/lite satanic shyt, he got that from Purrp too; notice he not on that anymore either

Rocky is nice sometimes he goes too far left for me but it's different. I think his career panned out just how he liked it.

Boring ass hell.

Just marketed to a whole bunch of hypebeast who gas him up.

Yeah man and his delivery I dont get it for a New Yorker it is so monotone, dry it lacks invigorating. He could do with a ghostwriter and try making major hits. He has all the hypebeasts and hipsters wave and all that as a fanbase. He just wants to be seen as a style icon and not a musician I think.

hes got an underrated rap career imo. everything up to the Testing album was solid and his debut album is damn near classic

i assume fashion and music was his goal and i think he pretty much achieved it A Timeline Of A$AP Rocky's Business Moves

nikkas forgot about Blackscvle lol, that brand and others like HBA had a chokehold on street fashion back in 2013-2016 lol

Tyler bodied him so easily, it's a nice collabo for sure.
He never got the push he needed except when he was rappin' with Tyler...

The cypher ordered a hierarchy in hip-hop, without that the skillset died. I really believe that. Rocky rap like he bodied everybody in A$AP Mob, a couple dudes from Pro Era back in 2012 coulda humbled him. You can't get nice without competition and workin' on ya craft. After his second album, I think Rocky was like fukk it and moved on.

Phoenix and Canal street beat is not for me too ambient whitegirl type music and the bars are far too slow. It's like his delivery is off too dry not emotion not even in a good way. The hook for Canal Street is dope though.

Suddenly is more of the same, I need some breakbeats some snaps. This is far too ambient sh1t. His bars are predictable too and not heavyweight status.

Holy Ghost not for me but this track reminded he would be major if he was a southern rapper he would be praised because his delivery is lethargic and he doesn't even have topic or theme or even personality with what to expect from his bars.

Black Tux White Collar Is the best of the bunch though and he had a topic and cooked this, pretty good. He is not a heavyweight with the pen though. That is very clear.

Props on the recommendation.

:russ: Facts.

I think maybe Asap Ferg might be the better rapper too. I don't know because one of the stand outs on Nas's King Disease was the Asap Ferg record.
