I think they mentioned that they got one of "their" cops to call it a gas leak explosion.

Both sides (Desire and Baxter) have cops on their payroll.

when it comes to explosives whatever the police write up would def be secondary to the feds especially if organized crime/cartels/terrorists are suspected

I consider myself knowledgeable when it comes to organized crime so I notice a lot of inaccuracies such as a Scottish group holding that much clout...holding meetings very openly and discussing past crimes without concerns of wires or bugs...different crime groups meting without intermediaries and discussing high level things indoors in front of lesser ranked members, etc. I realize it’s a show and the casual viewer won’t notice things like that. But for me it takes away the realism. Also the Baxter’s all have Italian names like the writers planned for them to be a traditional Cosa Nostra family then backed up and made them have a generic Anglo last name. The mafia still exists in the US but they’re much more secretive and reclusive (and less powerful) than the family in this show. Baxter’s are def modeled after the Gotti family

I'm kinda :beli: at how they just skated past the judge finding the bloody rag in front of everybody. They built the shyt up for 4 episodes just for the judge to juelz some shyt about his wife and bow, it's gone. I mean the cop asked if it had blood on it :heh: It has to come up again or building it up just seemed pointless.

I'd be very surprised if the rag doesn't come back into play at some point.

Seems like they made a big deal out of that signed Rivera ball that didn’t lead to anything? Or did I miss something

Still might as well... seems to me like they're setting up all of these dominos to fall in the later episodes. I could be wrong though, maybe they're just red herrings :manny:
